About Us

Steve Muller is the owner of Norwich Agway and the Storage Yard. Steve began his Agway career in 1987 as a part-time employee of the Willimantic, CT store. His passion for the job was obvious, and he had a great rapport with the customers. It wasn’t long before he was named assistant manager of the Agway store in Westerly, RI.

Around this time, Steve married his wife, Jen, and became the manager of the Agway store in Lyndonville, VT. A year later, the Muller’s returned to Connecticut, where Steve began working as a department manager of the Agway Farm Center in Middlefield. He was also asked to become an area trainer; helping other Agway employees to better understand the products sold by the company.

Three years later, Steve was named the store manager of the Norwich Agway. Although Steve felt very much at home in Norwich, he was on the move again two years later after being asked to take over the Agway store in Manchester, CT in 1995. Steve spent four years in Manchester, after which time Agway decided to sell all of its company owned stores. After being an Agway employee for so long, Steve entered ownership by entering a partnership to purchase the Norwich and Plainfield stores.

The partnership lasted for nearly a decade, finally breaking up in 2008. Steve took this opportunity to purchase the Norwich store for himself. Four years later, construction began on the Storage Yard at Norwich Agway; the Storage Yard opened for business in Spring 2013.

Steve grew up in Stonington, CT, where he attended Stonington High School. He is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University. Steve is an avid Boston Red Sox fan and takes a road trip to at least one major league ballpark each summer. He also enjoys golfing and playing guitar. Steve has been an active member of Rose City BNI since 2010.
